About me

I'm a Long Beach, CA based designer with a unique perspective and varied experience. My goal is to create curated environments that honor the architecture, speak to the client and bring in a touch of the unexpected.

My first expressive language was music and I have a BM and MM in French Horn Performance. But behind my extensive musical training lay a passion for design and creating space: it was something I couldn't ignore. So I went back to school and received my BFA in Interior Design. During that time I had the opportunity to study abroad and it sparked my zest for travel. I am drawn to color, shape, pattern and texture in the world around me and draw from these experiences to shape interior space.

After graduation I spent a decade working for two hospitality design firms that specialized in 5 Star properties around the world. During my tenure in the hospitality world I also worked with a few select clients in the residential realm. I enjoy both aspects of design; each with their own challenges and rewards.

Not being one to sit still, I've developed some of my photography into belt buckles and was nominated for the 2010 RAW Artist Accessory Designer of the Year. A few years later I won the Design Your City Rug Competition, with the final product for sale at FloorplanRugs.com.

I am passionate about how design can inform the function of space, how it can relate to personal taste, how it can tell a story, and transform the way you feel within its boundaries.
